We have been restoring antique barns for 40 years, during that time we have gained expertise in the unique problems of these wonderful structures. Working on vintage buildings requires a unique set of skills. Unfortunately, it is a dying trade. We have a large crew of young men and women with which we are sharing this lost knowledge with, so that future generations can carry on our mission
40 years ago Manuel Pupo Jr moved to Maine to buy land and build his own log cabin in the woods. He fell in love with the old buildings, houses, and barns. As he worked on them he realized he would rather save the old ones than build new ones. Now he is running the Barnwright along with his business partner and son, Manuel Pupo IV.
We are fully insured. and we work on timber frame structures, conventionally framed structures, and stone foundations. Due to our extensive experience we are aware of the unique circumstances of modernizing antique buildings.
